Does every NHL update HAVE to start with the Maple Leafs, even on a US-only network? Since we have to talk about the Leafs, there seems to be a narrative about Trreliving wanting to bring his "tough" style of hockey from Calgary to the Leafs. Being a Flames fan and watching most of their games, I don't recall them being a particularly tough or physical team during the Treliving era. They weren't soft, but they weren't really tough or mean. In that department they were pretty much average.
