Alex Pietrangelo sucker punch on Matthew Tkachuk – Tough Call Suspension Recommendation
Matthew Tkachuk got a 10 minute misconduct for the aftermath of a hit to Jack Eichel that drew some attention. The attention by Alex Pietrangelo was missed, and it needs to be punished.

Tkachuk has more PIM than time on ice. He's gotten 3 game misconducts in two games. Game one he sat there and punched Pietrangelo several times and stupidly in front of the ref. His immaturity goon schtick is getting old and will not only lose he and his team this series, it's keeping him from being the elite player he could be.
I know it’s whattaboutism… all the abuse Pietrangelo has received in just two games with little referee intervention… it’s no wonder guys lose it or work for retribution.
Agree that the system has to address all incidents. It’s no wonder stuff like this escalates…
Yeah youre right, pet did get a good one didnt he? Kind of reminds me of game 1 when staal and the ref were holding hagues arms and letting tkachuk tee off multiple times to his head. In this case however the knights were classy enough to let tkachuk keep his helmet on. Florida wasnt so gracious in game 1. So i guess its ok if fl.does it but a suspension if vegas does it. Sounds about right
I'm honestly so tired of watching "Playoff Hockey". Refs get to "dictate" the game by calling things somewhat at random (Cross-checking/slashing especially) and guys are forced to "Stand up" for themselves because the officials are letting everything go. And don't even get me started with DoPS, they ENCOURAGE this type of action by suspending no one for anything scrum related, and that 1 game suspension to Pietrangelo for attempt to injure? Literally gives the green light that anything less than the most abhorrent slash = no suspension. It feels more and more like i'm watching some UFC/WWF type of shit where players are playing more for their bodies/injuring opponents, than actually playing hockey.

Don’t blame everyone for going after Tk. Running at your star player. BS bring back the enforcers. League let this happen..no one ran Gretzky in his day because of McSorley and cementhead. Yea Gretzky says clean hit but that was BS. Tk and Gudas deserve everything coming to them. Wish Wensink was here to show them the error of their ways
