This Guy is Dangerous..

OK Guys, just yesterday the Montréal Canadiens hosted their intrasquad game. All of the young prospects were on full display and Lane Hutson, in my honest opinion, absolutely stole the show. He looked levels beyond everyone else, especially with his offensive game. So let’s sit back and take a look at some of his highlights together, and I’ll give my opinions on what I seen yesterday.

The articles that were in the video were screenshots from Habsfanatics.com, I highly reccommend you to check out this site for further Habs News,

  1. I think similarly about the forwards, but not as pessimistically I guess. The reality is that we still have a few candidate in them that could be better than expected and be a top 6 player. We have enough of them that it would not be crazy to think that one does get to there. We also have insane amount of them that will most likely go back and forth between 3rd and 2nd line, which also means, we have a lot of them that are worth something on the trade block. In my mind, or lines in the future (if everyone lives up to the potential we already see) would be Caufield – Suzuki – *blank*, Newhook – Dach – Slaf. Now there is no saying that Slaf cannot get an insane year this season and grab the first line spot for himself, but even if he doesn't, we have so much prospect value that a first liner should not be hard to acquire. Also, lets not forget that the Habs most likely won't aim for a deep playoff run any time soon, which means that Free agents can also be a source to patch our top 6.

  2. Slaf, Heineman, Farrell, Newhook, Roy…Most of them are not at development camp. We are missing one high end fwd ideally. Perhaps in the next draft or in the trade market.

  3. I liked the goalies too. Fowler, Dobes and Miller had some good saves. About time we had some goalie prospects that looked the part instead of roster fillers.

  4. forwards are easy to come by (if you don't have any prospects there are tones of available through trades and/or free agents) defensemen are much more of a rarity, take way longer to develop and teams are more hesitant to trade them

  5. LOL, Popcorn is a great nickname for David Reinbacher.

For those who don't get the reference, google Orville Redenbacher

  6. I just hope the team won't cave in to media and armchairs managers like it used to. Their plan is great long-term. Keep being patient. This is going to be another tough season, we need to not expect playoffs hockey. But it's going to fun to watch the team progress

  7. Poor lane Hutson , I'm worried the hype train is hitting him hard. I hope he measures up.

  8. Gretzky was exactly the same…nobody went near because your damned if you do damned if you don't.
    GO HABS GO 💕

  9. If we have an elite defensive corps, we'll get increased productivity from our forwards, so I'm not too worried about the lack of elite forward prospects. HuGo undertands that defensemen are more valuable than forwards, all else being equal. Look at the late 70s habs, they had the famous big 3 of course, but also had great young guys like Langway, Van Boxmeer and Engblom. That kind of elite depth in defence is what made them so unbeatable in those years, and our forwards just feasted.

  10. A couple of things first can you just picture Lane Hutson feeding the puck to Caufield and his size doesn’t worry me because the moves he has if someone tries the big hit they will miss and he is up the ice on a odd man break

  11. Ya, as I watched the game yesterday, it was the defense that stood out the most. Gonna be good some day. GHG

  12. REINBACKER AND HUDSON WILL BE AS GREAT PAIRING FOR A LONG TIME. they seem to have it and fit excellent together…Mailloux needs to be in the NHL this season and defense is our strength, something we needed

  13. Carefull with yesterday's footage… it was the best situation for Hudson, no real contact… and it was the worst for a guy like mailloux who creates separation with his physical capabilities…. so mailloux didn't look his best and Hudson looked great… not saying he's not but he was in an ideal scrimmage environment

  14. logan mailloux looks like the best player on the ice, we just gotta see if he will be allowed to come up.

  15. Forwards are now easy to acquire a lot of good ones are abt to be free agents good d man are never on the market You dont see a seider josi makar or hedman in free agency there are not a lot of insanely good d mans in the league so we are Lucky to have all those good Defensive prospects

  16. I liked Parker-Jones, he looked tough as nails , a good offensive vision for a big guy
