The Leafs had to go for it. The Blues for years never did and miss the chance at the Stanley Cup unlike L.A. because of it. The Leafs also know there is no guarantee both Matthews and Marner are here next year so another reason to go for it. As for trades I thought there would be a trade with L.A. for somebody and I still expect the Leafs could do another one with them. You want a winner and not a choker? Trade goalies … Quick is a winner and Andersen is a choker. As for the trade already made it looks to be a good one for both teams but Muzzin at 29 could still have been a contributor for years to come for L.A. and so if those players and picks don't pan out …
