    The ideal time would have been 2018/2019 but it's definitely not too late, Neither have shown any signs of decline and both are still the best two welterweights in the world.

    Crawford's boxing does all the talking. Not every guy can wax lyrical on all subjects and sell themselves but his skills are what's important. Manny and GGG never said much but are known purely for their talent.

    these kind of fights mostly happen far to late as they are 'retirement ' fights – the guys come together at he end of their careers make a big bunch of money one last time.
    Spence has had 1 fight in 3 years, he's only taking this fight for the money, Crawford has only had 1 fight in a year and is 36 soon…
    It's a shame that we don't see many red hot fights of fighters in their prime like the re cent Davis v Garcia; but too much of boxing today is about protecting the '0' and not about fighting the best.
    It's a hard fight to pick as both guys are past their best: technically Crawford is the better boxer with faster hands but Spence is naturally bigger stronger and had a piston like jab.
    If it was these guys meeting 4 years ago when both were still at their best I'd pick Crawford.

    Think the car accidents and inactivity have evened up this fight. I believe Spence would win otherwise. On the fence with this one.

    Crawford very much reminds of the late great Marvin Hagler , a great fighter who just didn’t do the showbiz element of boxing

    They not meeting too late. Both still undefeated and clearly the best in division. This ain't joshua and tyson

    Crawford did it on the road, went to Scotland to win a world title. Maybe he could have done more, but he hasn't been promoted well

    Please stop this narrative. This is the perfect time for it to happen. It needs to be built up as a mega fight that it deserves to be. One for the ages.

    There both coming off very good performances but the lack of inactivity is a worry. That being said it's going to be a classic. Hopefully the judges get it right
