  1. Both are elite wingers, 1 offers a bit more scoring the other is more physical. Depends on what your team needs.

  2. O-dog on the$ i'd take Timo all day long over Willy remember the broken jaw in playoffs these guys are lost,Willy is great but Timo is solid hits, scores, all the stuff we need boyz! Timo Meir 8/10 over Nylander, and at 8 over 8 yrs whata deal!!!!

  3. We need a guy like Marchand, Jeanot, Tckchuk, Meir, Greasy ,Tuff, Grinder and gives us 20 a year we're too soft, light, and not the mental toughness too get us to the promise land .

  4. Billy nylander is clearly better than meier. Timo had zero points through 8 playoff games this yr and got dummied in the 1st rd. Nylander pound for pound is one of the most naturally gifted players in the nhl. Its gonna suck to see him go but the money doesnt work in this cap.

  5. 8 yrs at 12 per would be appropriate. How much better than Mackinnon or Hughes or Pastrnak or Draisaitl is he ?? if at all..?…..I mean its ridiculous. Your a millionaire. Just sign 8 x 12 or piss off

  6. LOL Meier and Nylander are NOT top players in the NHL. They had a couple good years each playing with Karlsson having a historic year, and playing with Marner, Matthews etc. Nylander is at best his own teams 3rd best player but possibly his teams 7th best player!! It is so cringe to see how people overvalue these guys. Look at teams who win the cup and you find almost unanimously they have no overvalued players, no buyouts, and no primadonnas. That should be all you need to know

  7. 10/10 Timo Meier. Nylander is the perfect complementary piece but Timo can actually provide leadership and versatility.

  8. since they aren't actually going to dissect this dumb question, i will:

    NYLANDER vs MEIER

Scoring: Equal, they both have the same career high in goals and score in similar ways to each other. (Nylander also doesn't get the benefit of playing with great teammates as much as the guys suggest)

Playmaking: Nylander is a much better passer and playmaker than Meier has ever been, it's not even close. Nylander has almost 100 career assists more than Meier in only 49 more games.

Skating: Nylander is arguably the best skater on the Leafs roster and Meier just isn't as good a skater as Willy.

Physicality: Meier gets the advantage here but he's also not as physical as the guys suggest, he wasn't even in the top 50 for hits in the league, he's just big but he still gets the advantage.

Defense: They are both horrible in their own ends i'm not giving either of them the advantage here, it's a wash.

Playoff Performance: Meier has had one good playoff run with the Sharks in 2019 and the Leafs have only made it past the first round once however, i'm not going to use the team's lack of success against Willy because he arguably has been the only member of the core that has consistently shown up in critical situations in the playoffs for the Leafs ever since the Habs series in 2020. Nylander's 40 points (17G,23A) in 50 games beats Meier's 24 points (9G,15A) in 46 games by a large margin so advantage Nylander.

    Nylander – 3 Meier – 1
they are both great goal scorers and horrible defensively so two wash categories. willy has the clear advantage in the majority of the remaining categories.

  9. Nylander is a beast in the playoffs – the most dangerous Leaf forward when the chips are down. Physical play does not impact him as they can't catch him – too quick and shifty.

  10. You guys are missing the point with Tavares completely, sorry. He's now a power play specialist and a – player 5 on 5. Without a PP with Willy, Mitch and Auston, JT becomes a 50-60 point player who doesn't hit, fight and has concussion history. That makes him a $4-5 Mil player, trust me. You heard it here first. I know.

  11. Good signing by Brad to get Bert in a 1 year he can hit and has reavo riding shot gun if guys run him.
On willy I would give him an irrevocable offer take it or leave it. If he wants 10 to 10.5 it's not happening in my view.
