  1. LOL Orlov got $7.75 per for two years from Carolina. He's not worth that. The UFA market sucks this year. Yzerman can get out of that Holl contract easily if he wants. Yzerman signed Lyon too, as well as Reimer. Those are cheap backup/depth veteran goalie signings. Better than Ned and Hellberg.

  2. He makes far less than Jonathan Ericsson did a decade ago, and he will bring much more (minus the fighting) on the ice. He's not in your top 4, but you're not paying him for that. If he can play with Chariot on the 3rd pair and be what he was with the Leafs, the Wings will have a huge upgrade.

I don't see why any of this is bad, his contract is certainly tradeable come playoff time, and he makes the Wings bottom pair significantly better. Y'all should chill.

  3. Noll is a fifth or sixth defenseman. Reimer is a back up goalie. That's all. You are over reacting it seems. Gustave Nyquist is coming back. So what? You panic about that too? Noll will be fine until the young prospects develop and come up to the Red Wings A back up goalie you are getting freaky over?? Possibly a sixth defenseman? I suppose now you want them to make that trade for Debrencat, and overpay for him? Have some patience. Maybe it takes an extra year. Vancouver has been waiting a lot longer for a Stanley cup. Ned went to Pittsburgh, I know that guarantees them a cup! Go watch a baseball game.

  4. Yzerman pressers the next 3 years:
2024: "Look, we're just not there yet"
2025: "Look, we're just not there yet"
2026: "Look, we're just not there yet"

  5. I don't understand this signing especially going with a 3 yr deal. The Leafs shed themselves of Holl and replaced him with Klinberg. If the argument is you needed a veteran right handed defenseman for the roster so you might to have to overpay I understand. What I dont understand is why Holl.

Why not go with Klinberg? He is a year younger , has the better career and near identical size. I understand Klinberg went from 7 mil last season to 4 the upcoming season so maybe Yzerman didnt think he would bite for 4 mil but isn't his job to know that? I also understand maybe Klinberg wasn't interested in multiple years like Holl but 1 yr with Klinberg is better than buying out Holl after 1 season or paying 50% of his salary to move him in a trade at some point.

  6. Yzerman cutting side deals with players agents. Didn't want the player. He's playing chess
