Chadwick, 17, was ranked 154th among North American skaters by Central Scouting. He was originally a second-round pick (38th overall) by the Hurricanes in the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft. The Saskatoon, SK, product recorded 20 points (5g-15a) along with 16 penalty minutes and a plus-9 rating during his rookie season in 2022-2023 while adding one assist in four post-season games. The 6’3, 190-pound rearguard finished second on the Hurricanes in plus-minus (+9). Chadwick has skated in 80 career regular season games totaling 23 points (7g-16a) with 20 penalty minutes. He was named the recipient of the Hurricanes Scholastic Award this season.

Lots of uneducated opinions here. Why don’t you let these kids finish their junior careers and see what they look like in 2/3 years when they land with the Marlies. Look at the current Marlie team with Dubas picks. Guys like Hollowell, SDA, Abruzzese, Abramov (traded away) are most likely going to be AAAA hockey players. Toss in Robertson who has yet to prove himself. Hirvonen-who knows. Niemela looks promising but it’s still early there. You have to give all these kids time.
