Just mentioning it as a possible option. I still wear my Schmidt, and I actually bought my Fleury *after* he was traded.

Frame it. I’ve never bought a jersey with a players name. This is the reason. Unless the player is retired or dead, I just can’t see myself buying a jersey with the dudes name on it.

I rarely ever get names on any of my jerseys anymore, regardless of what sport it is, because every time I do so, the player gets traded within a year or two.
Same thing happened with me and Fluery last year…
I’ve never seen the problem with having a jersey with a former players name on it. The older it gets the more timeless it gets.
Players come and go, wearing the jersey means you support the team… and you can still be a fan of the player. I was super proud of Bozak and Kadri winning cups after they left Toronto (let’s face it they weren’t winning one IN Toronto).
Don’t worry it’s now a classic throw back jersey! Your fandom is true and this jersey can be worn forever. It’s Vegas true.

Smith is OG and will always be cool to wear. I still wear Fleury jerseys. There might be some less cool ones (*cough*cousins*cough), imo, but if they ever wore the armor, wear it with pride.
