Something noteworthy, I think, is that there wasn't a single trade made from the draft floor. From anybody. So if Yager wasn't their guy–at least at number 14–there apparently was no other viable option once their top choices were off the board.
Personally, I wanted Oliver Moore. You just don't get many opportunities to get a player who's mobile like that. But outside of the odd can't miss prospect, like Bedard, the draft is always more luck than science anyway. So who knows. Maybe Yager will turn out to be a good pick.
Greetings from Newfoundland! Thanks DK for a solid take on Reilly Smith. His work ethic will make him loved in the 'Burg!
Dubas did well! A cup champ!
Why is over half the league lefthanded when over half the world distributed pretty much everywhere is righthanded
Brayden Yager was a great pick. That's who I was hoping for. So far so good for Dubas
Love the Smith acquisition. Not as thrilled with the selection of Yager. Was really hoping that Benson would have been there, would have probably gone for either Moore, Perreault, or Barlow, but hopefully, Yager will pan out to be a good hockey player at the NHL level.
