Shrango is underrated, but thats because decent middle 6 guys are underrated. Hes a good a middle 6 but very inconsistent. Devils tried to plug him everywhere when it wasnt working on Jacks LW. Hes a good middle 6 for 50 games, but vanishes for the other 30.

I don't see how the Newhook trade is bad. The guy went 16th overall and still has time to prove himself. He wasn't given a great opportunity in Colorado, and it won't be hard for him to get into Montreals top 6.
The way the Devils have assembled their core pieces to team friendly, long-term deals which leaves them room to add more pieces further shows how bad the Leafs have handled their cap situation.

About Toffoli – he's one of the more interesting players in the league, in that everyone seems to want him, he performs well everywhere he goes, and there seem to be no negative vibes reports… but everyone also seems to find a way to let him go. I guess this is the curse of the upper-mid-tier forward in the cap era or something?
