We already knew this. He’s too old to be giving 5 plus million to. Let’s some pieces move up the lineup and bring some kids with hopefully some foot speed

Hate to see it, but some of the rumored numbers out there were way to rich for my blood. I don’t know who they’d move out for cap space either, we don’t really have any bad contracts right now. It’s probably for the best at this point.

  3. Great move.

Sucks to lose him but he’s old and not worth that money

Given the projected cap increase in the 24-25 season, we are one AAV season away from affording him on a reasonable contract. He would give up millions to stay so I understand why he would be tempted to go….

The math doesn’t work, it never worked. We have to sign 4 forwards and a backup goalie for 7.325 (possibly 8 if we cut loose Fleury), you can’t give Killorn half of that, and someone’s gonna pay him more than the 4.45 he made last year.

This is not a surprise as this was always the case, and it is also going to be an issue with Colton. Bottom line is JBB is going to re-up Jeannott, and is going to need $$$ for Hagel.
