The Bruins have dealt Taylor Hall to the Blackhawks and have cleared his $6 million salary in the process ahead of Free Agent Frenzy. TSN Hockey analyst Frankie Corrado explains why Boston made the deal and why he thinks the trade is a good one for Chicago and Connor Bedard.

Does this Help Chicago immediately. Yes. What this move does though, if Bedard walks in and plays well right away, this will position Chicago to be in NHL purgatory where they will not be good enough for the good prospects to draft around Bedard. In a weak Western Conference, its not crazy to believe that they could finish outside the bottom 10 if they bring in enough talent via Free Agency and Trades.
