  1. I actually love Brennan's offseason. Realistic trades and signings, I just don't know if Nashville would give up Tomasino in the DeBrincat deal – I have a feeling they would lean towards no on that.

  2. Alfie may be Ottawa’s best career player but he has absolutely zero front office experience. He certainly needs a position in the organization. To mention “president” is not realistic. Maybe a “Special Assistant to the GM” like Spezza is, or a player development role is more in keeping with his lack of off ice experience.

  3. Oh and another good podcast by the way. I like Gabe Vilardi for the sens as well. With the right coaching and experience, I think he could eventually replace Grioux.

  4. Good lineups. I'm not sure about the value in the trades. I don't mean that as a diss. I'm literally not sure. I find it really hard to judge value in trades.

I do think Jack is a little light on the Pinto contract. I think the cheapest he could be is $2M on a one-year deal, and I would expect north of $2.5M on a 2-3 year deal.

  5. Jack may just have some pretty good ideas. He’s come a long way from “just pay the guy”! Bobby Ryan, 1.8M, laughing all the way to the bank!

  6. Bring him home. Send Chabot the other way and if they have to sweeten it, add Thompson or Bernard Docker. Sharks would have to retain a it of salary to make it feasible.

  7. I may be willing to go after Karlsson just to make sure he doesn't end up somewhere else in the East

  8. Hey guys, I don’t think I saw Smejkel in your lineups? Does this mean you think he is just playing in Belleville?
