  1. Willander might be good but if you could draft him later, maybe trade down?

  2. My top Ten; that might possibly still be available at 11.
    1. Leonard
    2. Perreault
    3.Benson
    4. Dvorsky
    5.Moore
    6.Barlow
    7.Reinbacher
    8.Wilander
    9. Simashev
    10.ASP

A few are interchangeable for sure. My favorite prospect is Leonard but I doubt he makes it to 11…. Benson too 😢

    What are your thoughts!?

  3. Willander and Simashev play very different games. I think both players can help us. And I like both of them. On transition I would choose Simashev. Looks to be a great shut down guy to. Both defensemen have a physical side. The video on Willander impressed me. Responsible defensively and very active on the offense. He has really good upside. He has a good shot. And I am one of the people who thinks we should try putting size in the lineup and Benson is smallish, but you are right he is very good and would be to bad to miss out. High IQ. There is a lot of potential on all three players. I would shakily take Simashev because I would wonder how good Willander would be on the Canucks. And wonder if it was a mistake seeing he has little points. And can he improve that part of his game? Willander might be a better fit.

  4. We have some good LD options in the pipeline with Hirose, Jack Rathbone, and Elias Pettersson. Raty, Karlson, and Aman, project as third and 4th line centers. JT miller can cover the second line C position for a few more years so hopefully we draft a replacement for that spot. We also need to either draft or trade for a top 4 right shot defencman who is still young enough to grow with the team. Its possible to sign a second line C as a free agent. Its a lot harder to get a good top 4 RD.

Options for the 11th at this years draft.

    RD – Reinbacher, Willander,
    C – Dvorsky, Danielson,

If Renbacher and Dvorsky are gone then its between Willander and Danielson

I would draft Tom Willander due to the difficulty to get a good prospect in that position. Also I would love to see a line with Willander and D Pettey playing together.

Does Willander immediately become our best prospect ahead of Raty? That remains to be seen.

  5. Simashev has grown on me just for upside potential. Good skills, good skater and massive.
