I agree with JD's comments about the hall of fame, and I find it absolutely hilarious how bizarre maple leafs fans actually are, JD: "privately maple leafs fans would probably tell you one of the core-4 should be moved, but online and publicly they'd stick to the hard-line that they should stay a maple leaf." What in the actual f*ck is going on here, no other NHL team's players have to deal with this bologna, no wonder why players never wanna sign long-term in TO unless they're getting pa-pa-pa-pa-paid.

You have to move Mathews. Anyone who doesn't see that doesn't understand how to win the cup. Just like when Joe Thornton had his best career year in San Jose and I told my buddies don't be too excited. Joe Thornton will never ever win the cup. Neither will Mathews. They are both the same. They enjoy scoring points. They don't enjoy working. To win in the playoffs you have to work and get worked. Mathews is not that guy. Get rid of every metrosexual on the team. Your premise is wrong. Toronto will still get 100 points and will look great in the regular season. MLSE wants this so Treviling has no worries in keeping the Core 4.
Marner for a D-man is the way to go. Marner just might be the most useless(playoffs only), overpaid player in the roster.
Leafs take up too much oxygen for a team that has won 1 series in a decade ……. Not a cup winner in the next decade….

The Toronto Maple Leafs remind me of the San Jose sharks a really good regular season and come playoff time they chock hard that is the maple leafs in a nutshell I just don’t see this team ever getting over the hump and that is way I compare them to the sharks because San Jose never ever got over the hum sure they made it to the finals one year and got bounced by Pittsburgh in 2016 and the sharks never got back basically one and done has for the leafs I just don’t even see this team ever making it to the finals basically this team can make the playoffs all they want won’t make a dam difference so keep dreaming leafs fans keep dreaming

Stone continued to impress me until I started believing in him as a strong Captain. Watching Vegas was watching guys grind out a cup and they have my respect.

Viewing this show ends when Bourne again tries saying the best GM job in the league is with the Leafs. Could you please wean him off the koolaid because he's tripping. To try and say the GM of a team headed towards 60 years without a Stanley Cup is not a great GM job. Stanley Cup winners are dream jobs. Toronto isn't. Pathetic.
How about paying Mathews and his agent separately?
Unfortunately, the team has painted itself into a corner. They have traded away so many draft picks and prospects and really have very little to show for it. Could be a long year.

Fix the defense and the bottom 6 won't matter as much anymore.
Honestly….i love Marner.,.but what if trading Nylander may end up being the wrong decision a few years from now. Willy plays decent in the playoffs, no matter which year. Marner has had rough playoff series year after year….he was exposed as very soft and afraid of any contact. Marner is more talented YES….but maybe he just doesn't fit NOW!?…. I dunno….. what we could get for him would surpass what Nylander could get. Thoughts?
#34 is at a place where his new deal will indicate who he generally is, unfair as that may be. He should sign for 12.7 x 4, but have the feeling he will only sign for 13.5. Relatively small 800K difference, but it speaks huge volumes. Should be short term, don't get tied into this guy for too long. His playoff track record is brutal, and I have lost faith that anything will change. (That goes for Marner as well) Sigh… I always keep a bottle of tylenol nearby when discussing the Leafs.
