Someone tell me how to feel.

I thought Walsh was a decent prospect, but I get that he’s older now and has been probably passed over by a number of our younger higher regarded prospects.

Well I guess that answers where Walsh is on our depth chart

Well, I called it in another thread last week that he may be traded to Boston. It just made sense being that he was blocked in NJ and I remember speculation he was going to graduate from Harvard and sign with the Bruins before the pandemic cancelled the season during his senior year at Harvard.

  4. This makes me sad. I really wanted Walsh to get a fair chance but it seemed like it was never going to happen. Blogs and podcasts barely even mentioned him.

Now who the hell is this Bowers kid?

Barring a miracle we’ll most likely never see Bowers here just like Walsh with the depth on D.

I think that’s a horrible trade. Could never have enough defensive depth especially at the right side. Rare fitz L

How the fuck has Bowers wiki page already been updated?

Yeah Walsh isnt a make or break piece for us but what the fuck is that trade lol? Not great value, unless we felt for some reason that we needed to get Walsh out of the organization.

  9. got passed by nemec and casey on the depth chart and they’re doing right by giving the kid a fair chance. don’t mind the move, he didn’t have a future here

  10. A guy who wasn’t going to play here for another guy who wasn’t going to play here. Shrug

dont love this. really liked walsh as a prospect…would’ve preferred to trade him for some picks or something

  12. HenriqueItsOver14

This is certainly a trade of all-time.

  13. Absolutely no room for Walsh nowadays with the emergence of Dahl and drafting of Nemec. Would’ve liked to give him more of a chance in the NHL than he got the past few years, but nothing we can do about it now. Best of luck to him

Why would the Devils instagram even write “TRADE ALERT” in all caps on the post if this boring shit is the trade

This is kind of a shame but he was getting boxed out. The pipeline is pretty flush on RHD talent right now. Can’t keep them all.

  16. I thought Walsh would have been one of the first ones in if injuries pile up.

ButI guess we didn’t want to give him a new contract, but I feel like Walsh can be an NHLer, I don’t like helping Boston. I get it though, no real room and it helps the player.

  17. I think some folks are missing the point of people being a lil bummed. At least for me personally, it’s not because we traded him, but if he was a decent prospect, it’s a shame all we got was a mediocre AHL player.

I think we lost this trade. Walsh is a bonafide starter on some NHL teams. Bowers only makes it to the show now in the event of serious injury problems at the big club.

Well, there goes my dream of ever getting a “Bahl Walsher” pairing…Saw him play at Harvard, Utica, and preseason with the big club, so I was always a bit of a fan. Good for him to likely get a much better path at making the NHL than he had here, as he was likely blocked quite a bit.

Are all the people who are disappointed with losing Walsh the same people who thought Urbom was an NHL’er???
