The Buffalo Sabres are proud to celebrate the start of Black History Month by hosting the first-ever Choose Love Night, putting a spotlight on the Black community and local Black-owned businesses, during their game on February 1 against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Jillian Hanesworth, Buffalo’s poet laureate, has written this poem that kicked off the night. The poem touches on themes of unity, allyship and supporting each other all-year round.
