I wonder the Kings practically giving Durzi to the Yotes means they are making room to land a tender in free agency?
I was at a game in Carolina 2 years ago and I’m a huge kings fan and we got to warmups late and Sean Durzi was last on the ice. Me and my wife were watching him and the last ones standing at the glass and his last shot he snapped his stick and tossed it over for me. Such an incredibly kind player and he did make a lot of mistakes, but I’m gonna miss the hell out of him. Good luck in AZ Durzi!!

im a blues fan and i think it would be a bad ideal to trade krug for hayes we need to retool with some younger playres not add older players on the way down in hopes of making the playoffs plus our defense already stinks and we cant afford to lose a defenseman

King's fan here … nah, Durzi's problems don't look like the type that players grow out of. Real poor transition from skating forwards to backwards. Terrible defensive reads. Is excellent on the PP though.

Durzi has more room for advancement in AZ than in LA. As a Kings fan, I hate to see him go, but the Kings' D was a game of musical chairs with Gavrikov added to the mix and Brandt Clarke, Jordan Spence and Tobias Bjornfot joining the party next season. No room for him the top 4, and most likely Clarke would eventually leapfrog him as an offensive defenseman.

Whether it’s Krug or someone else he’s almost guaranteed to be moved at the deadline. Flyers are building for the future. By going to Philly he has a better chance of winning the cup with a contender than he does in St. Louis.

Shannon, just an FYI. Without traffic, you can cross the borders of Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia in less than 30 mins. So even if the Caps build a new arena in Virginia, their proximity to DC is so close they don't have to change the city name. Although if the city name did change, then it would be for tax purposes.
My only question if Washington moves is the travel. I’ve been to several capitals games for the last 6 seasons. If you take the metro there’s a stop that’s just outside the arena which is super convenient

If the Blues do end up trading for Hayes and Sanheim, I'm wondering where they are going to be in terms of cap space. As players, I think they would be good fits but I'm not so sure in terms of cap numbers.
Would kind of hate the Capitals moving out of cap one area.
Makes absolutely no sense to take Kevin Hayes for the Blues. Being in this retool/rebuild/contend limbo is absolutely the worst place to be.
This Durzi trade shows the Coyotes organization is serious about starting to compete soon.
