He’ll be a great fit at 2C, solid defensively, and him playing with either Nuke or Lehkonen they’re going to be a great 2 way line

Prior to his Achilles tendon tear he was regressing hard. He had an okay season in 2022, when the preds went off and surprised a lot of people.

But his downfall without the injury has been happening since before Covid.

Unfortunately Ryjo is now officially the slowest skater on the Avs. He’s going to be even slower with his surgery he had in February to fix his Achilles tendon.

Where I see his skill still hanging on is holding onto the puck and working it down low on the PP. He’s also got great passing ability and should be a good setup man.

Overall, if he’s healthy I would predict 25-40 points.

Even if he’s slowed down, he’s a big body that could transition to more of a defensive blue line type guy. The Avs have speed, we always need some big dudes to add physicality.

Assuming he’s 100% after the Injury I think he’s basically a J.T. replacement with a bit more upside.Great as a 3c, good at 2c depending on the wingers. Costs less than J.T. will make, but better at faceoffs. I’m not expecting anything like Kadri level production, but hes a good puck mover, big body, veteran presence. He probably gets 50points

    I know one thing… He’s gonna need a new jersey #.
