Alex Debrincat to the leafs will not happen. Man hates Canada and want to go to a sunbelt team.
I've been making this trade idea of Marner to Ottawa. They'd get back Debrincat and Tkatchuk. Both teams would send 1. round pick to Arizona and Coyotes would send Matias Maccelli to Ottawa.
all great analysis Steve, but really what we need to know is "Whom has Brad Treliving fleeced in a deal?" as we need to know what teams Twitter accounts to target with absolutely ridiculous trade proposals.
When will you stop pushing gambling in every video
according to twitter people he's turning us into the toronto maple flames….which is a scary thought.
There will be a pretty big trade with the Islanders and the Knights.
11:00 the curious case of Todjamin Button
Im curious if maybe nylander or matthews takes a one year extension? Or maybe someone new that comes in like lindholm or hanifin take a one year deal. I know with pandemic negotiations the cap can only go up by a max of 5 percent.
Not the end of this upcoming season but the one after, Tavares' contract is up, which should theoretically add millions to toronto's space. Even if he resigns i cant see it being for the same 11 million per year, maybe 2 or 3 million per year at that his age, or tornto lets him walk and they free up 11 million.
Columbus chill, not crunch.
Cool 😎 cut Mr clean thank you!
Great analysis!! Really informative. Well done!
One thing I’d add as flavour to this already rich stew is: the last time we got a general manager from Calgary, who did a blockbuster trade to bring a number of his former players from the flames to the leafs, was when we got Cliff Fletcher. And we almost went to the Stanley Cup, had it not been for Kerry Fraser and that game six nonsense, I think we would’ve had the Cup that year in 1993. So Calgary has always done well for us here in Leafland.
I wonder if Covid made him trade between with Montreal and Ottawa more
Just no trading Marner or Matthews!
He’s going to ruin the organization
Wow so much to look forward to yay because he won like 5 stanley cups in calgary. More like dont expect him to do much except tread water.
I wouldn't hate Looch on a cheap deal at like 3LW.
Andersson and Lindholm for Marrner, lets go!
Moving on from Dubas was a mistake in my view, but that ship has sailed, so onto Tree. He's also regarded as a bright, hard working GM, so hopefully he'll be able to make roster changes to make the Leafs more difficult to play in the post-season. Despite what some say, it's my view that the failure to get out of the second round was more to do with Bob's completely out-of-the-blue morph into 'Vezina Bob' that carried Florida past Boston, Toronto & Carolina. No Bob, they don't even get past the Bruins. He was utterly critical & lucky to boot. Toronto had 11 goalposts & 7 crossbars in the 5 games vs Florida.
I thought Toronto outplayed Florida for significant stretches, especially in games 2 & 5, two games that Bob simply stole. Toronto I'll admit, had some difficulty with the Panthers 2-1-2 up-tempo forecheck, which also gave Carolina some issues, but that Vegas dealt with much better. Is that because Florida ran out of gas, or luck, or was it because Bob cooled off, likely because of the 10 wait to start the final? Probably a combination of all 3 factors, but either way, I think Toronto needs a bit more snarl & bite, so here's hoping Tree can find some.
Kessel would retire before going back to Toronto
Alot of good info steve, thanks for doing all the digging for me 😊
Would you call this a GM trade tree?
Conny was already in the front office by the time Brad got there. He was a Special Assistant from 2011-2014 and then he became an AGM under Brad.
Steve….. nice haircut!!!! Props!!
I highly doubt DeBrincat goes to Calgary; several reporters have said he's not interested with the idea of playing Canada
Steve idk if you will read this, but since I've been watching you (since the zamboni LFR) I have noticed more and more the Leafs dealing with my LA Kings quite a lot also Craig Conroy played with LA and I believe with Rob Blake I can see many situations where three way deals between these 3 teams occurring thoughts? You rock btw
