JAMES VAN RIEMSDYK INCREDIBLE GOAL

sick, ridiculous, unbelievable, incredible, dipsy-doo, goal. James Van Riemsdyk of UNH totally dekes out his ex-teammate Kevin Shattenkirk of BU.

  1. btw, Pete MacArthur pulled that same move (both lefties, too) on BC a couple of years ago. Except Mac didn't score. Still a nasty move to pull off though.

  2. yeah im sure you have. but this is the second overall pick in the draft. he also is pullin this move on his old teammate, another top ten pick in the draft. thanks for your comment

  3. WOW what horrible announcing id hate to live in the US and have to listen to such monotone announcing. Good thing i live in Canada were, watching hockey is never boring no matter what teams are playing.

  4. lol you mean Rick Jeanerette? He's the announcer for the sabres…yea he's really annoying..it would be unbearable to have to deal with him for an entire game.

  5. buffalos announcer is awesome y does everyone rip on him haha i loved hearin buffalo score (not against phili) in highlights just to hear him scream…but JVR is gunna be unreal well prolly have him 2009-2010 season

  6. lmao i thought that was awesome haha but ya i can c y ppl think hes annoying hes gives off a love/hate vibe

  7. I hope this guy fits the description of a cheapshot artist because that's the face of the flyers team…. cheat to win. That won't win them championships anytime soon.

  8. don't forget – that defenseman isn't just some D-1 shmoe either, it's the number 14 overall pick from the 2007 Draft, Kevin Shattenkirk – vanRiemsdyk's old teammate.

  9. Someone should post the goal Van Riemsdyk scored in OT to win the 5th place game over the Czechs. It was sick. That's what I was looking for when I found this.

  10. Worst call ever? James is already a great player, can't wait to see him in Orange and Black

  11. Im Canadian so ive never really heard of these guys but while I was watching the Junior Tournament it looked to me like that Schroeder guy was better.

  12. He's not that great? He was picked 2nd overall in the draft in 2007 and the he's the complete package. He's tall (6'4, 210 lbs), very skilled, finesse and gritty, and skates very well. He could be the next Joe Thornton, at best.

  13. I go to BU and was at this game and even as a HUGE terrier fan this was one of the sickest goals I've ever seen. Van Riemsdyk's an incredible player he'll do great in the show whenever he chooses to go.

  14. where are the flyers gonna put briere in the linup if he stays healthy? he should maybe play with gagne and richards.. i don't know though but he was so good with buffalo and he can be good like that again if he stays healthy.. stevens did move him to RW

  15. no, not the next joe thornton at all. that's an awful comparison. He doesn't have the hands that joe has, let alone the passing ability.

  16. @savestheday1726: That's why I said, "at best." He's only 20 years old, anyways, so he's still very raw. He's going to be an awesome power forward someday. But it's just a shame that the Flyers didnt' get the no.1 pick that year when they were last in the NHL.

  17. @txravis3 completely agree with you. i think he'll pan out to be very similar to rick nash, probably with a little less point production. great comparison.

  18. JVR! JVR! JVR! JVR!
when youve got the entire wells fargo center chantin' one name youre doin everything right.

  19. JVR is a great player but there's no doubt that Shattenkirk is going to be a great defenseman too.he's young and already very good in the nhl
