  1. No. Also it’s we’ll know he wants to play in the US. So this is all a non-starter

  2. justaniceguy7777

    STOP trading our picks…..Mr benning

  3. Cowabunguss

This is a fleece job by the flames lol. So many unnecessary additional picks.

  4. jdmay101

I’m assuming this is one of those sites where any idiot with a keyboard and a wifi connection can write an HFBoards post and call it an article?

That is the worst proposal I’ve read… maybe ever.

  5. JerbearCuddles

Hronek is better and he was cheaper. The fuck. I would relocate this team before accepting that trade.

  6. WTFvancouver

If we make that trade, it would mean Canucks would trade 4 first round picks in the last 4 years lol.

  7. Even if he was a stud deserving of this return (which he is not), situationally we can’t give him the minutes on our left side or PP1 to be useful.

  8. CraftierAverage

Jesus christ who came up with this crap? Was thinking a bad contract or a 1 for 1 kinda thing not an over pay and a half for a one year 5 mil player.

  9. PaperweightCoaster

Did JB come up with that proposal?

  10. SackofLlamas

Wow, that was bad I did a classic spit take.

  11. PaperMoonShine

The guy writing the offer even writes it himself: **massive offer for Hanafin**. If you’re writing its a massive offer, for a *canucks writer*, what do you expect???

  12. DishwasherFromSurrey

wtf.. only way this would be ok is if Calgary’s 1st was coming back too

  13. NotaRussianChabot

The headline of this article is so misleading that this news site should be banned from being linked in this sub.

“Canucks make massive offer to acquire Noah Hanifin from the Calgary Flames”

    No they didn’t.

  14. SeduceMyMoose

I’m upset that I gave that article a click. I don’t get it. We could just wait a year and try and sign him in FA. Or we wait until TDL and see where we’re at and if it makes sense to acquire him for a playoff run if we’re comfortably in a playoff spot.

  15. ManyArmedGod

Holy crap, no let’s not gut the future again. Plus we retain on Garland?

Someone plays too much NHL 2022 it would seem

  16. I’ll have whatever the guy is having (the person that typed this article)

  17. Reddititfortat

I’d probably do garland and a 2nd for Hanifin

He’s only got 1 more year left

  18. jwong728

I made the grave mistake of finding his twitter because I wanted to know more about him so that was fun……

Additional I believe he thinks this trade is way to much
    >
    – Conor Garland
    – Jonathan Lekkerimaki
    – 2024 1st
    – 2025 2nd

    But his trade of
    >
    – Conor Garland ($950K salary retention)
    – Nils Hoglander
    – 2023 1st Round Selection VAN (11th)
    – 2023 3rd Round Selection
    – 2023 4th Round Selection
    – 2024 4th Round Selection

    Is just right?

  19. Is Canuck’s Daily not already banned from here? How are their links getting through.

Felip Gosselin, first of all that sounds like a made up name. Second of all, fight me in fisticuffs. Vegas octogan style.

  20. Vegetable-Hall-7281

Did the Canucks actually make this offer ?

  21. Cornishthe3rd

Hahaha whoever suggested this is either dreaming or has little to no understanding of hockey

  22. This had to be posted by a flames fan. That is the worst trade proposal I’ve ever seen in my life. Worse than the OEL trade…

  23. KrebsCollector

This is why our media is the joke of the league

  24. NerdPunch

I’d pass, but this is the framework I would be working on with Calgary. Use picks/prospects to find common ground, but this being the building blocks for a trade.

    **Van**
    – Elias Lindholm
    – Tyler Toffoli

    **Calgary**
    – JT Miller
    – Conor Garland

Vancouver gets another top-6 centre named Elias, and a winger on an expiring contract.

Calgary gets someone to be their 1C, as well as a middle-6 winger. Both with some term, at reasonable AAV’s.

  25. magoomba92

    C’mon guys, do better.
    Raymond, Ballard, and a 2nd.

  26. I now have high hopes for my future as a sports writer because damn…
