I don’t know enough about these prospects so I should shut my mouth, but it really feels like that one Yzerman Seider pick really pushes these pundits to assume Yzerman will make crazy reaches in the 1st round every year. There was nothing crazy about the Raymond, Edvinsson or Kasper. They were all right in line with projected.
Yes, Steve is capable of shocking everyone again, but these seem pretty nutty to me, especially that pick at #17

Admittedly I don’t know a ton about the prospects this year. Who are the more physical guys outside of Fantilli (I’d be ecstatic with a trade up for him)??
I feel we lack those inside guys, dirty goals, grit, as evidence by that weekend against Ottawa. I’m saying along the lines of Kasper.

I’m not a smart man but from what I’ve read, I’ll be bummed if they pass on Dvorsky and Moore in this scenario, but will be more so shocked if they take consecutive LW

At this point I’ve completely 180’d on Button. I don’t ever like his rankings, but I really respect that he doesn’t let everyone else influence his opinions.

With how that draft ended up I’d be ok with Barlow, the kid score, we don’t really have a trigger man in our system, his shot is pretty lethal. I do like Benson but it does seem like he’s slipping in the rankings. Also have to remember Owen Sound didn’t have much Barlow was the man there so he might have an extra gear, where as Winnipeg with Benson was chalked up with guys
