  1. i mean those nerds get payed on average slightly less than the highest paid player in the nhl, when ovechkin can take aroldis chapman yard give me a call

  2. Their two totally different sports lol. being from the burgh I love baseball and hockey both, but you can't compare the 2. Hockey is a rough sport and isn't even close to being easy, but if you think its easy hitting a fastball coming at you at close to 100 mph your fucking crazy. Its a little different when its not BP and right down the middle

  3. matt stairs is one example. most MLB players come from japan, hispanic countries, and southern USA, where hockey is close to non-existent. as well, skating is something u know how to do or u dont know how to do. if somebody never got taught how to skate or had a place to learn, how the hell are they supposed to skate? it's a stupid comparison. however, u clearly have never played competitive baseball if u actually think anybody could just pick up a bat and start smacking the crap out of balls.

  4. skating is for children anyway who cares who does what sport. all that matters is that they are better then just about anyone else in what they do whether it be skating baseball or hockey

  5. Which is why he played in the Western Hockey League before baseball??? Fuck you, dumbass!!! Learn your shit…

  6. The WHL might not be the NHL but I'm sure the athletes in the WHL are a lot tougher than this pussy who's sat out more games than he's played the last two years.

  7. Tom Glavine was drafted by the LA Kings ahead of Brett Hull and Luc Robitaille in 1984. The same year he was drafted by the Atlanta Braves. Obviously an exception, but still pretty awesome.

  8. Glavine was drafted by both the Los Angeles Kings in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft (in the 4th round, 69th overall—two rounds ahead of future National Hockey League star Brett Hull and five rounds ahead of Luc Robitaille, both 2009 Hockey Hall of Fame inductees), and the Atlanta Braves Major League Baseball organization in the 2nd round of the 1984 amateur baseball draft. Glavine elected to play baseball and made his major league debut on August 17, 1987.

  9. stop being such a keyboard warrior, you couldn't play either of those sports at that level, so can we just respect those who do.

  10. If you cant handle a sports conversation amongst men, then go run back to the playground little kid

  11. What an asshole. He is just naturally gifted with the best hand eye coordination on the planet possibly. Phenomenal hockey player and probably would have been all star caliber baseball player had he decided to do that. Fack you Sid.

  12. lol idiot. batting practice.. sid weighs over 2 bills and he's got a good swing. you know absolutely nothing about baseball if you think he can't pull it 350 feet out in right field.. dumbass

  13. People who say that this shows how "easy" baseball is, bear in mind that Sid is a hell of an athlete. (Even though batting practice pitches are about 40 mph slower and are right down the middle w/o spin, I still find it impressive) I know of many nhl teams that have taken bp before and even the biggest and strongest guys can't even reach the wall. As an avid fan of both baseball and hockey, both sports require tremendous athletic ability–it's why I have a great deal of respect for their players

  14. That's a pretty impressive swing ……considering he doesn't play b.ball. No….he is only the greatest hockey player the world had seen in a long time. I'm thinking with his natural athleticism, he probably could of been great at any sport he joined as a kid and worked at.

  15. Awesome swing! What are you not good at, Sid? Contagious laugh and classy guy. Keep up the hard work. Hope the pens win a cup soon 🙂

  16. hmm i guess hes good at something…:D im kidding hes and awsome hockey player

  17. A lot of great hockey players also played baseball growing up. Gretzky was a pretty good ball player as a kid. His son is now in the minors too.

  18. Another example of Hockey players playing their sport well, but not the other athletes playing hockey. Not sure they'd be able to stand let alone "hit a homerun"
