I’m really hoping management doesn’t go with a defender using the 9th pick. It feels like the top 8 forwards in the draft have potentially elite upside, hoping one slips to us.
JT Compher is a pending UFA that feels like a great fit for the Wings, while also feeling like a prime candidate for a far too excessive contract from the ole Colorado premium. He’s a very responsible righty center, which is a need, but not enough to give out a a longer deal at a likely “best offense in the league” premium AAV

I am ready for some big moves. I don’t even have a preference for moving up in the draft or going for a quality, established player, I just want to see Stevie Y and the club make a splash somewhere.
I’ve been chasing the big moves dragon ever since the Wings drafted Seider sixth overall.
So like the dream (because it would never actually happen) is totally to get Michkov with our first, either at 9 or use any of those extra seconds to jump up a few, and then 17+Zadina for Debrincat, right? I mean, I’d be pants off for sure
