  1. Can’t believe it’s been 10 years since! This was a great season! The wings were solid as fuck and Datsyuk and Z were in their prime. I knew before the start of the season they were winning it all. Miss the good old days! I was a freshman in high school around this time! Lol

  2. These Red Wings teams were amazing. Unfortunately, I never got to see them. I became a fan in 2013 when the Red Wings were in the middle of their decline.

  3. In 08 when Detroit won the cup. My dad and I were sitting in our chairs. When the horn went off. It was a huge party. My whole family was there. And when the win came. My neighbors were yelling at us

  4. After the 97 team, this was my favorite of the 4 cup teams. They were so good at every position, always played hard and always played like a complete team no matter what line was out there

  5. main thing i got from this video was nashville needs a new goalie.

  6. I'm watching this when the red wings suck and they have no hope

  7. 3:04
"It's the first goal of this game, to make it 1-0!" Yeah, no shit sherlock. That's why I hated watching hockey on NBC Sports. They were always stating the obvious. That annoyed the hell out of me

  8. Okay, no further comment, but note the goal scorer for the Wings circa the 21:00 mark getting his face smashed by at least two opposing players (goalie was the first). NO GRIPES, just take the goal and rub your injured face. In basketball or soccer, there would have been bellyaching for an eternity…

  9. This makes me happy watching this but, more sad. Hopefully the Yzerplan is going to take us back.

  10. these were the days. it is sort of crazy how much the style of play has changed since then

  11. Ok, this draft lottery isn't for Detroit so I propose a NEW way to decide the #1 pick: Each team has their front office staff put on skates and play a 3 on 3 game for 5 minutes, against the other teams. The team with the most wins gets the #1 pick. Detroit puts up Yzerman, Draper, and Lidstrom….. 🙂

  12. 14:03 I’m high af right now, and that’s the funniest thing I’ve ever heard in NHL history, I love you Chris Cuthbert ❤️

  13. Was just a little too young to remember watching this live, fun to finally come back
