I think if he does ever come to the NHL, having an older, more mature Russian mentor will be imperative. Not only that, if he does have a big ego, it should be a Russian superstar mentor. He needs to be taught. Coming to America or Canada will most likely take him out of his element and make him a bit less comfortable. No team outside of the top 4 picks should be worried about risking a pick. It’s way easier to teach character than talent.

To me he's still worth it. Just watch and see. Vancouver will trade down with Chicago and the Hawks will get both Bedard and Michkov.
