  1. Honorable mention
he wasn't directly killed by someone but he died in the Turkey / Syria earthquake the former Newcastle player Christian Atsu

  2. Orlando Pirates just won the Nedbank cup last Saturday for the first time since 2014. Glad to see Senzo's name getting a mention.

  3. I think there was English player who emigrated to Australia and become serial killer, the name escapes me but I think he's the only baller to ever be a serial killer, he was a pro playing in div.1 at the time around ww1.

  4. I am pretty sure the best player of the Austrian Wunderteam was also killed ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‡โœŒ.

  5. Jury rejecting a murder charge to protect a cop… What a surprise. No wonder vigilante justice is becoming more and more common in the west.

  6. Great work Alfie. Just on the Meyiwa case, Orlando Pirates have found relative success having won both of the available domestic cups this season. Hopefully they can put an end to the monopoly Sundowns has on the league soon

  7. Where is Andres Escobar? The Colombian Centerback who was one of the best players in the world in the early 90s and starred for Colombia in the 1994 World Cup where things would go horribly wrong for him in the World Cup and in the months following it. He was on the verge of joining AC Milan when he was killed.

  8. Robert Enke should have been on the list. He took his live due to depression while still playing on a high level and even on the german national team. He suicide lead to a lot of discussions about depression awareness and the mental toll it takes to play soccer as a professional.

  9. Very good video. Very classy and Iโ€™m glad you did it this way. Very interesting and not the typical stories

  10. The story of Farul Constanศ›a romanian champions this season winning their first (or maybe second?) title.
Club owned, run and managed by romanian legend Gheorghe Hagi, a native of the city of Constanศ›a.
Youngest champions in Europe this season (average players age), important contribution (some of the vital) from: 2 players born in 2005, one in 2006,
1 in 2003 and 3 in 2002 – all products of the club academy.
Came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in the decisive match against Gigi Becali's team FCSB(who has a claim to Steaua Bucharest history).

  11. What about football players who died in aircraft crashes e.g the Manchester United players who died in the Munich air-crash or the Brazilian side who died in a crash when they were travelling for South American cup match

  12. The far leftwing taint of this channel always leaves a stink lingering. It's the commie lgbtq 7s.. with a gawdless twist..

And I say this as a liberal..
