Anyone who doubted this kid’s ability to handle the media as a captain needs to say sorry. Dude’s absolutely finessing Montreal media scumbags with his maturity

Shea Weber taught this kid well.

I wonder what is Suzuki thought whit PLD situation. IMO it’s already done/over

Suzuki thinks he’s on a team friendly contract
lmao

It’s things like this that give me belief that he will follow the footsteps and be my next fav captain since Muller/Koivu. He gets it.

With a captain like this, and being so open about signing “team friendly” contracts so a team can compete for the Cup is music to every Hab’s fan’s ears.

I find it amazing that Vegas essentially gave away Pacioretty and then won the cup. Makes me wonder if Vegas would’ve won a cup with Suzuki if they never acquired Pacioretty from the Habs.

meanwhile you have Matthews wanting to be the highest paid player in the league

Team friendly, he says? Both those boys better step it up. I have no doubt they will. But I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a player commenting on their own or another players contract as being team friendly.

I feel like this is directed at PLD. You dont often hear players say “team friendly deal” in an interview. Curious if its a tactic to get PLD to lower his demands.

I have no doubt both of these players will make their contracts worth it, but it’s sort of weird saying his contract is team friendly before being at the point where it’s team friendly. As of right now, he is being overpaid at 8mil with the hopes that he continues to progress and becomes a PPG player.
