Dislike the video Laffy fans, alright I guess that’s me too. RIGHT NOW I still believe Laffy is our consensus #1 pick, but as of late my mind has been flipping. I’m starting to see more benefits from Byfield, and I take a closer look at the obvious, yet crazy age gap between the two, and I speculate what Byfield would do if he was in Laffy’s situation and vice versa. Tough stuff…

If Byfield had 10 less points, or played on a stacked team like Ottawa, London, or Guelph, I don't think I would've made this video. He plays with some skilled guys, but no one like Kaliyev, McMichael, etc. Byfield is the Sudbury Wolves, much like how Laffy is the Rimouski Oceanic.

Its Hughes Kakko all over again. Both have been underwhelming so far to say the least but watching em both closely Hughes is clearly more skilled and better if he was on another team he'd be a ppg or close to it Devils are just brutal up and down the lineup. I see the same with Lafrieneire and Byfield. Alexis is just flat out better IMO but Byfield is making a good case for him I mean 6'4 215lbs at 17 holy jumpin this guy looks like Malkin 2.0 i think both will be insane but I'm sticking with Lafrieneire no question. I feel like there’s potential for him to fall. He’s big but he doesn’t play big.
Saw laf play twice in cape Breton and he was literally invisible. Was very disappointed.

Byfield is not on the level of Lafreniere. Byfield does not have the compete level Lafreniere has. Byfield is a good player but will never be as good. Dudes got the highest bust potential.
