Dubas hasn’t had enough time, under his own banner for others to find out the true colours of Dubas.
Just hope Spezza doesn’t find Dubas’s sidewinder side.
A close look on his last 48 hours with Toronto, doesn’t look good on him.
Basically bringing it down to the wire, that everything was pretty much agreed on and then going hard right at the last second through his agent.
Two things here.
1) He didn’t talk with Shannie, he texted him
2) a near finalized agreement.. and his agent goes Kamakazi with dollar figure and terms.
That’s what broke the camels back.
That needed to be on the table months ago.
My opinion.. good riddance.
He’ll have the opportunity to cut the heart out of the Penguins like he did here in Toronto.
Matthews will likely join them when he is in a position to leave the Leafs after Matthews contract with the Leafs expires. Dubas looks after people and he overpays them is the reason.

Everybody who says that they are Leaf's, some of them are not really Leaf's. They are self serving and are hypocrites. Example Dubas and Spezza. They were phony baloneys. They are about position and money. So A true Leaf will not try to extort money from passionate Leaf Fans who blindly support the team for mediocre results. The reason is that Toronto is a rich city with people who have money and pay to support their city in sports. Lets go nuclear and blow up this team. A change is always good when you have fake interests among you.
