We finally had some official Edmonton Oilers news!
Derek Ryan is returning to the City of Champions for two years at an AAV of $900k. Ryan banged home 13 goals last season and is a reliable bottom-six forward at a team-friendly price. What do you think of this deal? Join Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin on Oilernsation Everyday to discuss the deal for the 36-year-old.
The Stanley Cup was handed out last night after the Vegas Golden Knights dismantled the Florida Panthers 9-3 in game five. Congratulations to the Golden Knights, I suppose…
Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff joins Tyler and Liam on the show today to discuss that cup win for Vegas. Additionally, they will discuss the Ryan contract, the next potential contract handed out in Edmonton and some potential trade targets.
Finally, Philip Broberg is next up to hear his grades for the 2022-23 season. It was an up-and-down season for the young defenceman, who played a career high in games played. Head over to the Oilersnation YouTube channel to give your thoughts on Broberg’s season, and leave your opinion in the live chat.

So disappointed with the news today. Losing 1260 is one of the worst things that could happen to the sports scene in Edmonton. I hope all the people working there are able to move onto something new. Not being able to listen to Lowetide and Jameison anymore already leaves a void.
this ends my support of anything Bell intentionally
bell Centre, NOT going
Bell Cellular,, switching soon but wont go Bell or any owned by bell
Bell Helmets, not sure if they are connected but ill be driving over my helmets shortly
screw Bell Media for the way they cut TSN 1260
I’d like to keep my comment respectful but…. Bell media can go to hell. I’ve been listening to 1260 since John Short did a late night sports show way way back…..Thanks Bell for the end of an iconic station in Alberta.
Derek ryan has been solid. Good deal
Man I feel really awful for Jameson you get cancer, you fight your way through it and then the s word company fires you for actually being good at your job. Dave was really kind to me when he worked at the Elks as their media guy and I was just a nobody working for a poorly paying website and did all he could to make me fit in with the media. All these years later I have nothing but good things to say about him.
Alan Mitchell (lowetide) has had a terrible couple of weeks as he is a contributor at the Athletic as well.
The fact that these media companies can rake in dollars and cry poor and want government money to protect them is the most outrageous thing and then they do this kind of stuff. Just hate this.
Does Bell Media get funding from the Feds?
