  1. Coming from just a fan of the NHL, we need to revisit the expansion draft. There is no reason why an expansion team should even smell a cup in the first 6 years of existing. Even the kraken getting to the second round is rather ridiculous. You see teams like the red wings or coyotes who have been struggling for years, and they are just handed players. I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but I just can't help but be frustrated. Either give the teams more players to protect or find another way… I just think it's just all too easy to pick good players. Have to struggle to make a good team, and I think that's what makes it so special to win. All that said, congrats, knights.

  2. Certainly one of the most fortunate winners I can remember. Faced a Jets team that was imploding, faced an Oiler team riddled with injuries and poor goaltending, faced the Stars who looked old and slow, and finally faced the Panthers another team riddled with injury and likely empty fuel tanks. Add on incredible puck luck, fortunate officiating, Department of Player Safety head scratcher and the only injury the Knights suffer turned out to be a blessing, getting Hill in! Amazing good fortune congrats.

  3. I guess if you pay bettman enough for a new expansion team he will hand you a cup in six years

  4. Kind of bummer T chuck got hurt but. But honestly he should have been suspended for his antics he got what five game miscinducts and a bunch of unsportsmanlikes. But tired of people saying that that's the only reason Vegas won the cup Vegas beat the wheels off Florida in every aspect of the game even when Chuck was in there. Another fun little tidbit is from Bob had 33 goals against in the first three series and Vegas put 24 or 26 on him in five games. Vegas just hands down better. And they deserve the credit.

  5. Connor McJebus can learn a lot from Jack Eichel and Mark Stone: just demand a trade from the shithole team that first drafted you and you will be awarded with the Stanley Cup. I bet Jack Eichel is thanking God right now that the Edmonton COILERS 💩 didn't draft him first overall LOL

  6. Just goes to show when you can start a new team in the salary cap era without being saddled with terrible contracts because of previous GM mistakes, you can build a successful team far faster than others. I wouldn't be surprised if Seattle starts making the finals soon too.

  7. Bill Foley calling the exact time Vegas would win a cup is really not helping the "NHL isn't scripted" crowd

  8. I feel very bad as a Canucks fan, Vegas only been here for 5.5 years while we have been here for almost 55 years.

  9. This Final proves, yet again, that depth—coupled with good solid defence and solid goaltending—wins Stanley Cups. History shows us this. Panthers just weren’t built well enough to win the series.

  10. EF spoke about how Nate Schmidt and Max Pacioretty were treated as disposable pieces of meat by the organization, and now they are a first class organization with a magic formula?! OK.
