Wings take Michov at 5 and Honzek at 14.
How do we go from 9 and 17 to 5 and 14 you ask? Add Mikael Granlund.
In this Mock, Max Bultman traded 9 and 17 for 5 and 31 (Montreal).
He then acquired 14 from Pittsburgh for 31 and taking on Granlund’s contract.
If Stevie could make this happen, holy shit. This would be awesome.

Both of those trades are bad value for the other teams. It makes for a pretty weak mock.
I’m not sure about moving up twice but I think it’s better then 50/50 move up with one of our two picks, or move back in for a 3rd late 1st round pick. I don’t see them making the 3 second round picks in row so between the extra picks and the cap space to utilize I just think we are bound to make a move of some sort.
At first I thought moving to 14 from 31 for taking on Granlund’s contract was wishful thinking. Then I looked at his stats as a Penguin and thought… “maybe”.
I absolutely cannot see us taking Michkov at #5. Given the geopolitical situation, it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s still on the board when the Wings are picking at #41-43.
