#1 will always be the hockey stuff, get to the playoffs, win some cups, etc. But my very close #2 is to get this team downtown. I mean somewhere like Lebreton or Bayview Yards. Not some spot that's more central than Kanata, but is still just a parking lot off the highway with nothing around it…. Related to that, did you guy's hear Sutcliffe on TSN Radio this morning? Was interesting to say the least. Said he wants the arena downtown for the revitalisation of downtown. Said he doesn't consider Lebreton/Bayview as "Downtown"…. Then went on to describe a downtown current Federal building that could be up for grabs. Close to Elgin, close to the Byward Market. So pretty much he's describing the former DND HQ….. Probably the only site I could think of that would be preferable to Lebreton! But everyone I know within DND tells me it'll never happen. Too much Top Secret infrastructure stuff they can't move or something? Weird that Sutcliffe would put that out there though. Wondering what you guys think about that?
1) Bring in Roy as HC. 2) Bring in front office management. 3) Bring in Goalie.

The cup order was so weird. I get Stone then handing it off to the “original” Vegas team players. That’s what I would have done. But then it went to Pietrangelo, Martinez, and Quick. Guys who already have a cup (STL, LAK, LAK, respectively). Like, wtf did Quick do? How does he deserve to hoist that cup before Hill? At least they made Kessel wait to get his hands back on that thing.
New owner needs to fill out the hockey ops department including a Pres. Bring in Alfie. Get the Cat settled one way or the other. I'm good letting PD and DJ see this through for one more season. All the fire DJ noise is bs. He's had 1 season with a half way decent nhl roster

It’s been said a million times, but I’ll echo it, to help show how badly the fanbase wants these things. The most pertinent issues for the to do list, imo, and in no particular order:
– Downtown arena
– Improve/expand front office/management staff
– Hire Alfie in pretty much any capacity
I’m ok letting DJ go for another year to see what he can do with a healthy roster. But I’m also not against bringing in a new head coach. Whether that be Roy or someone else. But I kinda feel like that should be the GM’s decision. Not that owners don’t get involved in those decisions.
Speaking of GM’s, I still believe in Pierre Dorion, but I would understand if new ownership wanted to bring in “their” guys. I’m just not sure who is a viable replacement at this moment.
Blaming the layoffs on tough economic times vs greedy corporate profits is a fucking joke.

Something I've read about Andlauer is that he's focused on getting a downtown arena, and that he's strongly considering Bayview Yards as even a better option than Lebreton, and I agree. More space, even closer to a train station that connects to two lines, and no NCC bullshit to deal with. Really hope we see real progress on that front
