What was the point?
If he would have hustled a bit more, he might have actually caught it.
I love how for a moment he was playing along…then reality came crashing down and he looked totally not stoked😂
He really didn't do anything to show whether he caught the ball or not. His lack of reaction shouldn't be considered a fake out.
😂 The longer he went without revealing his glove, the more he was like "oh man, this is going to be awkward".
If there was two outs I wonder how far he could make it.
His teammates were yelling go back stay on the field…they knew the outfielder didn't have the ball.
Lousy sportsmanship, at a minimum.
I've always thought it was odd that holding up a closed glove = the ball is in the glove.
Hopefully the umpires didn't call it out because a catch isn't a catch until you intentionally remove it from your glove.
