I love Debrincat but the problem is his new contract is supposed to be very high imo too high.
So just singing Debrincat without giving up anything would be too difficult but giving up a prospect or two to get him is just a NO WAY.
The rumors I heard early was his agent might be seeking 9 mil and I would just laugh at that number.
Now if the habs could give up something we don't care to lose AND Debrincat's agent is willing to accept 7 mil for say 6 years then sure I am on board but I don't see it happening.
There is one added problem one I don't shar but Debrincat is a center and so is Suzuki but then again I have to endure the constant BS talk of Habs needing a specific RH D man which to me is bs.
So IDK what is going through Hughes mind or how St.Louis would use Debrincat obviously on the PP for one but 5 on 5 do we really want to pay Debincat big money to play center on the second line?IMO Debrincat is not good enough to play center he is not a two way player he is like Caufield a scorer so he should be playing the wing.
