If there’s a group of professionals who’ve shown themselves to be overly competent and qualified beyond a shadow of a doubt: it’s definitely Habs scouts.

  2. Something that irks me about the way some people talk about Michkov is that apparently if we pick Leonard/Benson/Dvorsky they will 100% be 3rd liners and busts, while Michkov is having consistent 100pts seasons. I know Michkov is more talented than them, but it’s not like these other guys are scrubs.

  3. the irony is that when one of these guys beats the odds and makes it to the big club, we completely lose interest. Unless they’re a star… otherwise they become easily replaceable useless plugs.

  4. Hahaha love that so much, kinda guilty of having fun being Armchair GM in the off-season

People get invested in a specific prospect, become certain that he will reach his maximum potential, and completely forget that we know nothing. It’s human nature but we do it every year. I’m doing it this year with Leonard, lol, most people are doing it with Michkov, but it’s all the same fantasy brain stuff.

  6. Those /u/flepine44 scouting reports are out of control. Everyone knows that.

To be honest scouting in hockey is not anywhere near as professional or well defined as something like American football. They miss shit all the time.
