  1. Decent podium by the Dane today, Pogacar will for sure get him working hard in the tour. Which Dane I’m talking about I don’t even know either😂🦋

  2. Tnx for a great treat, oom Chris, it’s always a pleasure to hear your thoughts. Never have I missed your show in 3yrs. I think this is the only channel I’m clued to on YouTube and it’s surely entertaining.
    ❤❤❤

  3. Carapaz, Landa and Mas were a disappointment today. Good ride by Alaphilippe today (Lefevre in the car was the target?).

  4. solid tt by Jonas, just a super effort today by M Bjerg. Surprised me. Gotta be good news for Pogacar at the Tour, UAE look much improved from last year. I'm not worried about Jonas though, he recovers as well as any rider out there, the cream will rise to the top when we get to the mountains.

  5. 👏👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤❤🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦 thanks Chris,!!

  6. It was not a TT course that favored Jonas with him being such a light rider at only 60kg. There were a number of mild gradient but quite long downhill parts in the second section that suited heavier riders like Mikkel (78kg) who could freewheel a lot more than light riders who had to pedal constantly and so Mikkel could save energy more than Jonas so then he could send it on the last long false flat to the finish.
So for Jonas to end up second at only 12 sec back is pretty good

  7. Kruiswijk not being there makes JV weak in mountain stages, they won't be able to control the stages like last year.

  8. Bjerg ❤
20s behind at first split; even time at second split ~ and Boom! into the Finish line.
If that was planned, as well as achieved, even better for him. 😊

  9. Happy for Bjerg today.. will be interesting to see who can get in the break tomorrow.. the last 3 stages are brutal… cant wait..

  10. Gaudu and Mas – disappointing. What happens with Gaudu 2.0 and Mas 2.0. Same thing with Carapaz. 2 minutes? it's not even a flat ITT. I hope we see their best leg in the mountain. Jonas expected to win the stage, well, after leading out his teammate for 2 days straight, probably his leg was lost of steam. But, he got some 30+ seconds buffer for the next mountain stages. Nice win for Bjerg. Hindley, Yates, O'Connor, and Martinez keeping it close. I'm curious to see Hindley. He's been playing possum all season. Tomorrow's stage looks like suite Alaphilippe. I think Bjerg might lose the jersey. Cat 2 climbs at the end. If JV drills it, he'll get dropped.

  11. TJV burned a lot of matches in the 1st 3 stages. We'll see how many they have left over the next few stages.

  12. JV missing Stevie K now with three UAE guys who could attack. He could have gone with the attacker

  13. Who was the last Dane to win the Tour de France?riies, rasmussen oops, never mind, just pray he passes the drug tests.don’t worry he will😅

  14. Great analysis, Chris. I'm hoping that UAE "honors" the Yellow Jersey and protects it, rather than playing Rope-a-Dope with TJV……mainly because I'm a TJV fan!!! But tomorrow's tactics will be interesting if the other teams capitalize on TJV's weaknesses due to the loss of Stevie, and the hard work TJV (especially Jonas) has done on all the last 4 stages. TJV dominated last year, but with Roglic and WVA…..so they are very vulnerable this year.

  15. Always love to see a guy take his first pro tour win and a plus, the leader's jersey. Love the emotion too because it shows how much it means to these guys especially those who usually work hard for others. Thanks Chris, very much enjoying your insightful summaries.

  16. Could be significant. UAE riders looking good always washes over the full squad. Jonas looking cooked makes you wonder if he'll come into the tour too hot and over trained.

  17. If I were Julian Alaphilippe, having Patrick LeFevre in the car behind me would not be reassurring.

  18. What do the danes

Know because I would have won all of them they are genus’s if you know them personally they are not that cold

  19. One thing I have learnt while watching cycling and B E, some guys prefer to work for certain riders, It was all smiles when he was asked about how pogacar feels to see him winning and he even emphasized that he is ready to work for him at tour

  20. Bring out the astanas jerseys dude when is the book coming out because you have way more stories than bob roll go go go

  21. Chris …Jonas looked overheated at the end of the TT….well, just wait until the Tour starts and he’s doned in an all black kit in even hotter weather….the poor team is going to completely melt down….Total Fail by Jumbo Visma, they should go with a lighter color kit.

  22. Danes Danes Danes they are a crazy people they will say the thing to you they are German ish but not so just have fun and know you are having fun with a Dane!😊

  23. Chris, I'm not sure tactics-wise, why Jumbo has to do any more than ensure no GC threats (particularly UAE) get away in the break? UAE doesn't want to lose the Yellow/Blue on a lark, so they at least have to keep it close, IMO.

  24. I'm guessing Trek tries to put a couple climbers in the break like poor time-trialers Elissonde and Tesfatsion, maybe a QuickStepper goes, and I'd like to see Eddie B. If it comes back, Alaphilippe goes on a flier downhill.

  25. Those helmets are getting ridiculous (ugly!)… Just look at the UNO-X helmet.. worn by someone who loses 6 minutes to Bjerg… Just why?

  26. Some of those TT helmets had me thinking back to the movie Spaceballs and Dark Helmet. [choking and gagging; pulls up mask] "I can't breathe in this thing!"

  27. Vinegard in my humble is the favourite for the tour. I know that nobody agrees but last year he proved to be the strongest and I don't like him for the record, too cocky

  28. Also a TT at the ZLM Tour; actually a prologue and sprinter (!) Olav Kooij was only one tick behind the winner for second place in the GC. Keep an eye on him!!!

  29. IMHO, today's ride by Jonas was great. Bjerg is a time trial specialist as is Cavagna. The numbers that are important are Jonas' time against those of his main GC rivals and he put time into all of them. I am always amazed at how well Jonas does in the TTs because he is so small and light weight. Yet his pure climbers body is able to generate the power required in the TT. I think stage 5 will probably be a break away stage while the remaining GC guys keep a close watch on one another.

  30. Vingegaard went too hard the previous couple of days – it cost him on the TT. THAT is the “butterfly effect” …

  31. I can't understand these ridiculous Helmets on the riders head, your neck must be uncomfortable.,really ??🤔
