The Senators have the smallest TV/ streaming market. The Habs and the Leafs have a very strong media presence. The Senators are facing limited returns from their media outlets.
Will the bidders get nervous about A) paying for a new arena B)The smaller media? All the red tape makes possible buyers nervous in light of the fact the Senator’s media footprint is so small.

This is a Billion dollar deal, of course it takes a long time. The potential owners have to be vetted by the NHL, and the owners group. They must deal with at least 3 levels of government, and a new building{ which is a must} would be a huge sticking point. I waited a month for a permit on a sunroom, and can only imagine the red tape. Who makes money on what is also another huge project.( merchandise, Inside Arena Concessions,Parking,etc.} Figuring out Taxation alone is a huge undertaking.
They kinda bit themselves in the foot there at the estate!
Just get a damn deal signed (NOT sparks 😂) and sign Debrincat long term! Stop pissing around!
Bettman and his henchmen were too involved and had their favourites…. NHL trying to nickel and dime the people looking to buy and need to get on with it. who is the problem the Nhl/Bettman or the family. who ever said this organization is worth that much money but with Bettman it is about the money and not the team or owners and needs his nose out of it….
