Provorov was drafted 7th overall in the 2015 draft and Wirenski was 8th. Now they are in the same D core. Wild.
Ultimately they traded Gavy for Provrov for less money and shorter term and he’ll help immediately and act as a bridge player until the prospect from last year’s draft are NHL ready. Provorov will play second pairing minutes and maybe play well under Babs. It accomplished a few goals
The Kings got hosed, I would have sent Peterson to the minors and eaten the cap. Great trade Flyers it should be a special draft to build upon. The Blue Jackets should have an elite D core this season. Cool trade 🫎

I like this deal a lot of Columbus and Philly. I have no idea why LA is in this deal though. Why, if they were dumping cap, did they agree to retain 2 mil of Provys salary?
I feel like Philly and Edmonton should be chatting about goaltending hart for cambell a first and a second if I was Philly I’m looking to move hart rebuild takes time your gonna have to move him sooner or later otherwise he’ll play his best years for a struggling team not ideal but love to see what Briere can come up with can’t wait to see more moves
