  1. why would anyone want to paly for or work for Toronto? I've never seen an organization invest so much for zero return over the course of 10 years.

  2. You also have to understand team psychology and chemistry. Really dumb of them to have 4 of their guys making 10 times their teammates. Lots of room for envy and spite. Not very conducive to winning…

  3. At least you recognize Bo’s worth but you don’t trade from-men like Bo for wings… we don’t need a winger we need a center you should consider the avs needs… which you failed to do

  4. For one piece of core4, I had
    To LA
    Marner $10.9/2yrs
    TJ Brodie $5m/yr

    For
    Leafs
    C – Byfield $89k/1yr
    F – Kempe S5.5/3yrs
    G – Copley $1.5/1yr
    D- M Roy $3.5/1yr
    2024 1st.
Kempe is a heavy 2way forward that plays in all situation that can snipe, Byfield a fast center with size and grit to fill out the middle 6, while Roy a big 2-way defensemen that can be plug into the top 4 and has a big shot. Copley would offer a good back up role if Woll is not up to par. Plus enough cap room to offer O'Reilly and Schenn a contract to stay. 2024 1st that can be trade up to sure up something at trade deadline. A possible 8 pieces total with the trade.
Marner offers playmaking skill that LA's young talent has not develop yet, and another leader to replace Kopitar once he's ready to retire. Brodie would offer that veteran leadership on the back end.
This would offer both teams with skill that both teams are lacking. Brodie not defensive defensemen, Roy be more equipped to handle a heavy forecheck. Kempe and Byfield offer up the size and space for the skill players to get more room but also can be weapon for those players. Byfileld an Ontario boy would be a easily a fan favorite in Toronto, 6'4 power forward center.

  5. As for Byram, not on the radar as Av fan. 2 way defenseman with a great one time from the point. He's vision, skill and shot from the backend can only be match by a few. He the Avs number one signing in the off season, although he has concussion issues, he doesn't have to be the guy in Colorado. Makar – Byram will be the Avs future top pair and probably the NHL top pair, so he's going to be needed once Toews prices his way out Colorado

  6. Yeah that's a big no on demko. Matt Murray is trash. Brock Garland and a 2nd for marner.

  7. Some decent thoughts, but not the Marner trade. Don’t want Demko either. Murray is still an unknown health-wise, might have some value, might break his ankle stepping on a tissue. Marner for Quinn Hughes straight up. Make a hockey deal, not a money deal. A top 2 defenseman or a tougher forward like Brayden Schenn.

  8. No chance Vanciuver makes that trade. And you're dreaming if you think you get both Biram and Lehkonen for Nylander. See, this is the problem with Leafs fans and with Dubas…you over-value the core four. They're just not that good.

  9. Marner needs a no-trade clause. I personally would let any of the other 3, or all of them stay – but we need players who can defend well, and are strong enough to withstand opposition. Hopefully this way, we can have an even lower turnover against rate than in the past.

  10. Matthews is going to Chicago. Chicago has the room to take matthews and garbage off leafs plate. and matthews gets to play with bedsy

  11. Canucks going to trade Garland and Demko to Toronto for Marner and Murray. That's so f funny 😄

  12. As fun as this vid is no new GM is gutting this team. Maximum two but not all. Unless all 3 Marner, Nylander, and Marners say they have no intent on staying now that Dubas is gone. Tavares is not going anywhere, sadly .

  13. There is no way Avs or wings make those trades JT couldn’t make leafs winners then how can he make wings winners.

  14. Two small wingers were the recipe for failure in Leafs Core 4 failure. For Leafs they would be lucky to get Kadri or Wheeler for Marner.

  15. "HI Arizona, we're calling to offer you Matthews for Keller."…."We're listening"…."We also want two firsts and a second" …"CLICK"…"Hello?"…."Hello?"

  16. How many Stanley Cup winning Head Coaches and Quality GMs are y'all going to run out of town before you figure out Matthews is one of the biggest problems. He is inconsistent and can't be coached.

  17. ..Mathews 15 mil…why..?.let him walk…spend it on a nasty first pairing defender and reliable goalie.

  18. agree 100% . The leafs problem is the team in one dimensional. if the core four can't produce goals, they lose. Florida took advantage of this with good physical play and an excellent forecheck. And that's how you win in the playoffs.

  19. I can stomach a few of these trades, seem realistic… compared to some of the ridiculous stuff going around.
