God I’m gonna get so much hate for saying this but as a Detroit fan I always thought he was a tad overrated (please don’t hate me). He was a good goalie not a great one. The reason his record was so good was for much of his career he was playing behind the best defensive lineup in the world. I submit myself to the mercy of the public on this one.

Osgood was a solid goalie with one of the best teams ever in front of him. He won 3 cups though so we really can’t take shit away from him.
Dude is not Patrick Roy or Martin Brodeur but he’s at the top of the list of the highest tier of goalies that were not superstars.
