Yes. And to the people saying we can’t sign him, first off you’d probably shed 4-6 million in the trade, the sens need defense and would probably like hanifin, zadorov or tanev. Then personally I’d trade toffoli at the draft for picks, that sheds more money, and ADB is a right shot sniper who has a much higher upside and is way younger than toffoli.

No. He very obviously wants to get paid. Nothing wrong with that but I’d rather the flames don’t give 9+ mil to a guy who hasn’t played for us yet. Just feels like a lot of risk involved.

You would need to send a lot of money back / shed the rest. Probably Hanifin / Zadorov / Vladar / Toffoli would all have to go just to afford his contract which would have to be 7 million at the absolute lowest. Then you’re pretty much screwed with signing Lindholm and Backlund for 2024-2025 unless the cap jumps a ton. Seems unlikely but a man can dream

No, it’s a bad fit. The Senators need right shot defenceman; so one of Weegar or Andersson but either would (or at least should) be absolute non-starters for Calgary.
Then there’s all the cap issues on top of it as well. It just doesn’t make sense.
