PHILADELPHIA FLYERS SURGE LATE, BEAT TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS | PHIL MYERS 3 ASSISTS, CLAUDE GIROUX GWG!!



The Philadelphia Flyers stay hot and continue to grab points as they beat the Toronto Maple Leafs by a score of 6-1. It wasn’t that much of a blowout as it was a 1-1 game about halfway through the third period. The Flyers exploded late and it was a beautiful sight. Carter Hart with another fantastic game which kept the Flyers in it. To start the scoring, Kevin Hayes made an outstanding play protecting the puck and passed it net front to Scott Laughton as he put the puck past Frederik Andersen. In the third, the Leafs score on a fluke bounce after a shot from the point. Just over a minute later, Claude Giroux scored to take the lead back thanks to heads up play by Phil Meyers on the wall and a great pass from Travis Konecny. This is when the flood gates opened as Konecny, Joel Farabee, Shayne Gostisbehere, and James Van Riemsdyk all score after that. Michael Raffl broke his finger and will be out about four weeks.

    Glad to have Brodes here talking hockey. Agree. Tired of radio guys talking about Eagles nonstop when we have 2 teams playing well. Weird feeling having a reliable goalie and good coach, been years for this team

    The entire team looks amazing right now. That top line with the Captain, Frosty, and TK look amazing with the chances they create. Frost is gonna be a stud with that wrister n snap shots he has. TK is on an entire new level this year. His goal numbers are close to the same as last year at this point, but the number of apples he is getting is much higher. I like to see Laughton moved to the 4th line center and JVR moved upto the 3rd line. Any which way the team is a great watch whenever they are on TV. Now only if Patrick could get healthy this team could be filthy. I know they are saying migraine disorder, but everything I read in the article sounds like Post Concussion Syndrome which I’ve dealt with 3 times and it absolutely sucks!

    The Flyers streak continues against the big win to the Maple Leafs, 5 late goals in the 3rd period, Claude Giroux the game winning goal, we just explodes late in the game and could have been Hart's second career shutout, but a wierd goal for the Maple Leafs to tie the game and the Flyers just broke away from that, Shayne Gostisbehere is stepping it up with a goal, very good game and let's keep it alive with another home game.
