Brad Treliving has been hired as general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs following the departure of Kyle Dubas. He joined NHL Tonight to talk about the position.

He said he wants to protect the star players. I hope that means not allowing them to get physically abused, like they have been the last number of years.
I will say this, when he said that the Leafs were more deserving to win against Tampa Bay last Play-offs, I actually felt a little relief. 100% agreed. I think he knows the game in the right way to get this team over the hump.

No more excuses about "winning is hard." Florida should never have beat this team. You find a way to win no matter what even if you have to play dirty and lose friends.
