  1. Everyone says the same thing that’s he’s a grinder…he’s way more then that …he does it all…outstanding player outstanding human

  2. whoever decided that that trash hall & oates song should be played at every goal should absolutely be fired!! good that there are no fans right now so it doesn't have much effect but that song was trash when it was released and isn't any better now! they have a hard enough time keeping the fans energized in toronto to begin with without playing trash music every time the team scores!

  3. He is my favorite Leaf because nobody expected a lot from him. However he has shown what hard work will do and he is growing big time in talent.

  4. ANY fucking line this guy plays on, ALWAYS stays on the other team's net. This guy makes it happen. He's simply NECESSARY.

  5. Hot take…. Hyman will be signing an 8 year deal which will spread out the contract cap hit, secure him as a Leaf forever… Then when retired will be an assistant coach, followed by future coach of the Maple Leafs.

  6. Hardest worker on the leafs! Never seen him not going 100%. We love you Hyman!!!!!!!

  7. Petition to start a GoFundMe to keep Hyman on the leafs

  8. Hiding in plain sight behind Hyman’s work ethic is the astronomical improvement in his puck skills.

  9. If Hyman resigns in the off-season, which we definitely all want, I’ll get myself a Hyman jersey because this dude is a legend.

  10. These blue prints videos mean so much more during quarantine, all their families watching these i'm sure.. to keep up with their kids… and if leaf management is reading these comments, can we have Joe Bowen back on TV???

  11. Zach is great on the ice as he is off the ice. Zach has been my favorite player in 2021 ranking up there with Matthews in my opinion. What a great team and organization from top to bottom. Go Leafs Go !

  12. Dubas ….. I don’t care what you gotta do to keep Zack but you dam well better find a away , pay him what he deserves and take it in the ass like you did on all those other contracts if you have too. This team will NOT be the same with out him. Don’t fuck it up

  13. Hyman needs to be resigned! Hes the type that will get some ot playoff goals. Id say he is the 4th-5th most important player on the team. Never change zach! Great human being

  14. This guy has been underrated for years. Even by some leafs fans. I remember back in the day when many leafs fans said he doesn't belong in the top six… okay there buds haha

  15. Love this man and hope we’re able to re sign him. Maybe a longer deal like 3.25 M x 8 years works? That’s life changing money and I know he loves Toronto but also know he probably deserves around 4.5 to 5.5 on a shorter deal…. it really sucks how the nhl is a flat cap and doesn’t provide wiggle room for home grown talent who have made there way up from the farm teams like the NBA does. Bettman is a fucking dumbass for that

  16. Zachs intelligence goes massively overlooked for the way he plays, everyone just wants to call him a hard worker and a honey badger but the way he positions himself going into puck battles is why he wins so many of them. It’s not all strength, it’s angles. It’s knowing your edges and knowing when to dig into the body. That’s why he’s so effective. You give him a 10 puck battles on the corner and he’s winning 7 of them, every single time. That’s why he’s so valuable.

  17. Another stupid move by the "wonder boy" of a manager, giving away Zack is like saying goodbye to your cup aspiration! Oilers will get their cup before Tavares and company will get theirs. MLSE kept the wrong guy and let the old man walk!

  18. Fun fact of the day. The Leafs GM stupidly turned down a free 6th round pick from Edmonton in the Hyman caper. This is what the Oil did with the pick. 😉

"Time will show that many players were drafted too high, while others were late-round steals. The winners of the 2021 Draft can chalk it up to savvy scouting, but mostly luck and that might be the case with left-winger Matvey Petrov, who the Edmonton Oilers chose in the sixth round, 180th overall on day two.

Petrov Racking up Points in the OHL

Petrov is off to an incredible start to his major junior career with the North Bay Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). In his first 10 games, the 6-foot-2 Russian has eight goals and five assists. He also has two hat-tricks, the first in his OHL debut against the Peterborough Petes on Oct. 7, and the second against Colts in Barrie on Oct. 30. Two-time NHL All-Star Matt Duchene, now of the Nashville Predators, is the only other player in Battalion franchise history to record two hat tricks in his first season with the team."

  19. Welp watching this after hyman is traded and excelling with the Oilers stings a bit….
