If either ref had called the reckless high stick Hamilton just previously hit Zibanejad with, Kreider wouldn't have needed to be a good teammate and make an example of Hamilton being reckless so late in the game with the Rangers best player when the game was out of reach.
Carolina shoulda jumped on Kreider after that one
ryan ellis did the same thing to buchnevich against nashville and nothing was called. kreider got a two minute minor for that. consistency at its best

Only reason he did that was bc Hamilton hit zibanejad in the face and Hamilton also leaned into a little bit. Yes it was unnecessary but I don’t think so dirty as some people come across it
When your skating that fast in a game it’s not easy to back off a commited hit. His skates never left the ice and Hamilton’s head is down which is something your told not to do early.
