Who could bounce back next season? | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk June 1

The Edmonton Oilers had a ton of players have a career season. Connor McDavid scored 60 goals, Leon Draisaitl hit the 128-point mark and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored 100 points for the first time in his career.

However, with every positive season, there’s a negative season. On Oilersnation Everyday today, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin take a look at which players could bounce back next season. If you have a player in mind, head over to the Oilersnation YouTube channel and leave your comment in the live chat to contribute to the conversation.

Also on the show, Bruce Curlock will join Tyler and Liam. The three of them will talk about which players could make the jump to the NHL from the Bakersfield Condors, the Oilers depth, and yesterday’s acquisition of Jayden Grubbe.

Finally, Jack Campbell is next up on the grading list. It was a tough regular season for Campbell, who struggled massively throughout the year. However, he did a good job in the playoffs of giving the Oilers a chance when called up. How would you grade Campbell?

  1. D- for Campbell is fair.
He was reliable when Skinner got his baby and at the end of the season as well (against not so good teams, but he looked well).
I sure hope, Woody is acknowlaging, that not starting him in the playoffs, was a big, big mistake, he should have started them as early as in some L.A. games.

  2. The Oilers will not make it to the Stanley Cup Final if they don’t upgrade the right side of the 2nd pair. Can’t rely on Ceci upping his play.
    1st pair – Ekholm -Bouchard
2nd – Nurse – (Someone better than Ceci)
    3rd pair – Kulak-Ceci
    7th- Broburg or Desharnais
    This might get you there.

  3. I just want Campbell to really work on rebound control and STANDING BACK UP in the crease in the off season.
When Jack lays down for a save he takes Forever to get back up like he's Hasek or something and guys just roof the puck… I wouldn't care if he's saving pucks like Hasek too but he's not.
